What is the Pharr Literacy Project? |
|
The Pharr Literacy Project (PLP) is a grassroots, faith based, community-driven program that is dedicated to providing literacy alternatives to those persons who, due to life circumstances, may otherwise find adult education an unrealistic goal. Many of lives of the persons whom we serve have been marginalized by poverty, discrimination, and self-defeating personal decisions.
