The GED program offers a variety of options to fulfill the differing needs of members of our community. All regular GED students are expected to complete at least one portion of the GED exam each quarter, and attendance requirements for the classes are very strict. Opportunities are available for all GED students to participate in online computer drills in cooperation with the Pharr Memorial Library. We offer self directed adult GED classes – afternoon and evening – four days per week. Some quarters, the class will decide to all work on the same subject area of the GED, and will have a combination of individual book work and lecture by a qualified facilitator. Other quarters the members of the class will decide to work on different subjects of the GED so the quarter will consist of individual book work only, with a facilitator to answer individual questions as they come up.
