The community of the City of Pharr is encouraged to participate in the preliminary investigation into whether our city is primed and ready for a Cultural Arts District designation. The Pharr Cultural Arts District will be a disctintive and defined area where historic architecture and eclectic mix of design, niche businesses, and diverse retail establishments will focus their attention on artistic and cultural activities to stimulate civic pride an cultural awareness, provide opportunities for local creative enterprise and contribute to a unique and authentic experience for our community and visitors.

The results of the completed 20-questionare will be an important planning tool for the development of arts organizations, educational institutions, businesses and all who believe the arts are an important ingredient of the city living. We have a vision of creating the best Cultural Arts District in South Texas, a vision that will not only improve the way we live but provide consistent job opportunities, increased downtown business revitalization and economic development and growth for the entire Pharr community........in essence: "A place to work to live".
